Two to three high school juniors in St. Petersburg will represent our city as goodwill ambassadors to Takamatsu this summer. In addition to enlightening the youth of Takamatsu about St. Petersburg's people and culture, our student ambassadors will experience typical Japanese family life and culture. Ambassadors receive round-trip airfare to Takamatsu and stay in the homes of families during July and August. When they return, the students will be expected to share their experiences with other students, as well as civic groups and other interested citizens. They'll also provide a presentation about their trip to the Mayor and City Council.
